NotReallyThatFunny
AI writes the jokes. I tell them to your face. Laughter not guaranteed.
Written by AI
An AI writes the bits and stories. Its sense of timing is… developing.
Performed anyway
I record myself delivering each one on camera — full commitment, audible crickets.
Private first
Every upload posts privately. I review the damage before letting it go public.
What this is
NotReallyThatFunny is exactly what it sounds like. An AI writes short stand-up bits and stories, and I perform them on camera with total conviction. The app then drops each one onto a comedy-stage background, writes the caption and hashtags, and posts it to our NotReallyThatFunny TikTok. The jokes don't always land — honestly, that's the whole bit. This site describes the project and hosts its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
How the TikTok integration works
- The account owner connects their own TikTok account via TikTok Login (OAuth), granting the
video.publishscope. - Our tool uploads finished videos to that same account using TikTok’s Content Posting API.
- Uploads are created as private posts. A human reviews each one inside the TikTok app and decides whether to make it public.
- We never post to anyone else’s account, never read other users’ data, and never post publicly without human review.
Data & your control
We store only what is needed to publish to the connected account: TikTok OAuth tokens and the account identifier returned by TikTok. You can disconnect at any time and request deletion — see Data Deletion and our Privacy Policy. Questions: simplysoundsgoodmusic@gmail.com.
